Parts Supply Analyst II

JOB SUMMARY:

Acts as a focal point for all inter-organization activities related to domestically produced service parts. Maintains optimum inventory levels of service parts and accessories to satisfy all dealerbody demands for all sales entities (AIMI, ISZA, GM, Honda, Export Accounts etc.) Responsible for maintaining a target service level to customers while maintaining maximum inventory levels/months of supply.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Reviews and analyzes inventory levels ensuring availability for groups of parts using all available tools; i.e., Open PO Report, Low Stock Report, and the SAP/SPM Systems, etc. Identifies all parts that require special analysis, i.e., OE Demand, accelerated demand, seasonality, etc. Oversees assigned supplier accounts serving as the focal point for service parts supplier relations issues.
  2. Develops existing supply channels to include administration, coordination and negotiation of policies, procedures, terms and conditions, logistics, packaging and pricing as part of the new model provisioning process.
  3. Reviews and analyzes out of stock (backordered) part numbers utilizing all available tools; i.e., MAC/FRZ Code B/O Report, Critical Management Report, CR/CC Report, SAP/SMP Systems, etc. Communicates and follows up with suppliers – both Japan and Domestic. Reviews Open Order Reports and SAP/SPM systems to determine priority of phone calls/faxes.
  4. Ensures suppliers’ conformance to AIPDN Policy and Procedures to eliminate any supply interruption. Negotiates supply channel for Post Production parts with supplier on a continuing annual or all time buy basis.
  5. Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of various other inventory transactions. This includes, but is not limited to, stock adjustments, scrap transactions, credit memos, vendor returns, and vendor chargebacks.
  6. Performs miscellaneous related job duties as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to Parts Supply Supervisor
  • No direct reports

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

  • Four year bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business related disciplines or equivalent related work experience
  • Proven total competency in the execution of duties and responsibilities as a Parts Supply Analyst I and a minimum of one to two years in the position
  • Experience involving analytical skill, computers and parts forecasting on a continuous basis
  • Inventory/ Supply Management (LPA) software and automotive experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE:

  • In-depth understanding of Parts Inventory Control and Supply Management Principles

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to interpret statistical demand patterns and supply rules
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:

The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer. This is primarily a sedentary position in a controlled office environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports or records, typically weighing 5 lbs. or less.

Pay scale for this position is between $56,923 to $69,731. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

**This is a contract to hire role.
